Encaustic Workshop, Encaustic Artist, Howard County Art Guild

On August 28th and 29th I exhibited at the "Yorkfest" arts festival here in Pennsylvania.  I was busy talking to one of my students and felt a tap on my shoulder....I turned around....and it was the judge wanting to present me with the blue ribbon for "Best of Show"!  Wow, you could have knocked me over with a feather!  I felt so honored and humbled at the same time since there was a total of 121 artists and we were judged on our art as a whole and not just one separate piece.  The ribbon came with an award of $500.00, plus I sold four pieces.  It was definitely a red letter day!  I have been so blessed.
