I want to show the difference in the finished painting and my thinking process. I worked on a painting that is underneath this one. I wish I would have taken a photo of it, but at any rate it had a lot of red with molding paste. I couln't resolve it, so decided to start something else over the top. I added to the the old painting some garnet gel, cheesecloth and more molding paste. Painting #1 was the finished product. After looking at it for several days, I decided to make a change to the white mark across the top because I felt that the viewer would not be able to move down through the white line since it basically blocked the movement. I added some blue to that white area to allow the eye to move downward - see #2. The color is off a bit but you can still see the difference in the two.

#1
